Objective: DDI is looking for a Sr. Project Manager to join its operations team in Austin, TX.

 

Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects from execution to closeout, with primary responsibilities in lining up vendors for materials needed to support the project, reviewing estimates/contracts, identifying the needed manpower/crew make-up for projects, leading kick-off meetings, managing/controlling project costs and schedules, identifying, drafting, and executing change orders, invoicing, forecasting costs and revenue, providing monthly reports, and facilitating close coordination with clients and field personnel. The Project Manager works closely with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate seamless communication and coordination among all parties involved to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from execution to closeout
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure projects remain within financial guidelines
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during the construction process swiftly and effectively
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders monthly
  • Any additional tasks or projects assigned by their supervisor

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in all aspects of Construction Project Management
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, contract language, cost forecasting, CPM scheduling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically MS Excel)
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Trimble Viewpoint (Vista) preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment
