Diamond D was contracted for this project due to our proven track record of “pulling off the impossible” while maintaining safety for the duration of the project. The Diamond D team was able to pre-plan and respond 48 hours before landfall to not only coordinate but also facilitate the asset recovery efforts directly for the utility company. Our team’s ability to integrate themselves with our clients proved successful as we worked seamlessly with the Line Contractor to coordinate the project schedule while being challenged with trying to manage various logistics such as and minimal roadway access and poor working conditions due to storm damage. Throughout the project, Diamond D provided all materials and coordination to support over 40 miles of distribution rebuild, including asset recovery, bathroom trailers/showers, temporary power, meals, ice & water, fuel, housing, security, waste management, aggregate, and other necessary necessities for the Utility and Line Contractors.
